Purpose of Data Collection

We collect data of persons, who register for an event/conference/congress. According to the GDPR, para. 6, 1 lit b, in order to implement our contract obligations and provide the services, it is required to collect personal data through an online form. All form fields marked as mandatory are required for the implementation of the contract.  

What are personal data?


  • Personal data and information of a concrete or identifiable person:
    Your name and surname
  • Your address
  • Your work position, in case it is required for the participation in the event
  • Your e-mail address
    Your choice of offered workshops, side events, visits or further variable elements of the event programme
  • Your invoice address and payment/credit card information in case of an event with participation fees
    Your date of birth and birth place in case of an event, which is rated by a designated security institution as security relevant

Who has access to your data?  

Your data is collected through an encrypted internet connection and saved at a server, located in Germany.  Only authorised personnel of MediaCompany and Event Organiser CrossCultures Network GmbH have access to your data. Providing your data to further service providers takes place only if it is required for contract implementation.  

In such case the amount of further provided data is reduced to a required minimum.     

In case of an event, which is rated by a designated security institution as security relevant, the personal data is provided to the designated security institution.     

How long is data stored?
   

The data is stored during the period of contract implementation and is deleted six months after the event at the latest.  

Your rights
 

Right of objection:  you have the right to object to collection and use of your data, which will become effective in the future.  

Information right: you have the right at any time to request information regarding your collected personal data. At your request the information can be provided electronically per e-mail.  

Right to correction, deletion or blockage: you have the right to request correction, deletion or blockage of your collected personal data. If legal requirements do not allow deletion of your data, it will be blocked, so that it is accessible only for the purpose of legal requirements.

There is no digital analysis of the online registration form. IP-Address is technically required for the data transmission.  IP-Address is processed anonymously and is not saved.
